Immediately from knowing that you're pregnant, you might feel like you need to eat more, you need to exercise, you should make changes in your routine right away. But calm down, take some deep breaths and listen to your body. Your body already knows the things that needs to be done when conception happens. It only takes time for the mind to process this because the various conditioning that stimulates your thinking eveyday. So while the mind takes its time to sync in with the body, you as the conscious being, should be patient with the same and take in the process as it comes.

Here are a few things you can do to aid your body and mind get onto the same line:

  1. Stick to the same routine you were following before finding out. You cannot just change the whole course of menu just because you're pregnant. Start small with an extra fruit juice in the morning and some salads that include millets and grains that help with protiens for a quick eveing bite. Slowly when your body is ready to take in more food with everyday, you can add onto the carte. Also, it is not necessary that you add in more number of meals, you can opt to changes the current meal portion into something more light and nutrients abundant.

  2. Be comfortable in coming back to your usual set of meals when you feel like your body is not ready with the new plates just yet, it's okay to prioritise your system and to skip or replace meals when you feel a bit off. Remember that you need to be feeling alright for the baby to grow healthy in terms of physical and emotional, it is only that knows how you feel within and no one can force you to intake things that your body clearly isn't okay with.

  3. You are the mother to be. You should conciously remind yourself that 'diet' does not only mean food and nutients. Diet is exposure and intake of all things physical and non physical, it includes everything you listen, see, feel and do. So even though you cannot change these things right away, try making a slow planner on how to change who you interact with, what you watch, where you go and the earthly things you do when not fully conscious.

  4. The important part of the diet is how you think, though this is slightly similar to 'how you feel', thinking happens before you feel. So here, the first thing on your diet, that you will have to change is this. This is what will determine how you feel and how you make your baby feel about everything.

Well then, try getting on these before making any big changes to your routine, this sets in the foundation for all.
