Swaddle is addictive.

Swaddle your baby and that helps them relax and sleep better; they say.

Well, yes—swaddling your baby helps them sleep better and probably relax too, but only till they mature. Babies mature? Yes, babies mature into their bodies and try learning to use their body parts, move around, and even try talking. So to facilitate these movements, you stop swaddling your baby when they show the first signs of rolling over onto their tummy.

✦ Disclaimer: If you keep them swaddled and simulating the feeling of still being in the womb, it prevents them from trying to move anything at all.

“Does that mean you should completely stop swaddling your baby, even when rocking them to sleep? YES, because babies haven't yet synced with the circadian rhythm of nature—they will try to explore their body anytime they're awake. This can be early in the morning, middle of the day, or even middle of the night.”

Your role as a parent is to give them the feeling of being secure and safe, and the space to grow up into a fully developed little human to big human.

You can cover them gently with a throw blanket or even a quilt, while keeping the temperature just right—this will help them relax and rock them to sleep naturally.

Wrap them in breathable, hand-stitched organic cotton quilts & throws.
